Open Edit to build your own list. Give a group a name, put saved filters in it, and add another group. Up to eight groups of twelve filters.
Each row shows how many work items its filter currently holds, and clicking the row opens that filter in Jira.
A count the reader was not allowed to run shows a dash, never a zero. Zero means the queue is empty; a dash means you could not see it.
The counts belong to whoever is reading the dashboard, so the same gadget on a shared dashboard correctly shows each person their own queue sizes.
