Number and Gauge for Jira Dashboards · sellerkit · Version 1.0, effective 9 September 2026

Summary

The app runs no server and sends nothing anywhere. It reads work items inside your own Jira site in order to count them, and that is all it does.

What it handles

Your settings, which are a filter or a JQL query, an optional number field, a target, and a direction. These are saved in the gadget's own configuration, which Jira stores on your site.

To draw the number it asks Jira how many work items match, or what a number field adds up to. It receives a count or a total. It does not store work items, does not copy them anywhere, and does not keep the answer after the gadget has drawn it.

Whose eyes

The query runs as the person reading the dashboard. A work item that person could not open in Jira is not counted for them, and the gadget cannot be used to widen anyone's access.

Permissions

One scope, read:jira-work. Read only. Nothing is written to Jira.

Third parties

None. No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no subprocessor. The app declares no external addresses, so it cannot make an outbound call even if it tried to.

Hosting

Built on Atlassian Forge; it runs on Atlassian's infrastructure and we operate no server of our own for it.
