The median paid JetBrains Marketplace plugin costs US$45 per year for a commercial licence, or US$5.00 per month. A personal licence costs exactly half as much at the median. Only 634 of the marketplace's more than 10,000 plugins charge anything at all. Measured across all 634 in September 2026.
JetBrains shows a price on each plugin page, one plugin at a time, and the marketplace has no view of what plugins cost as a group. We read the pricing endpoint for every plugin that can charge and collected the commercial and personal price at both monthly and annual terms.

The commercial to personal ratio is 2.0 at the median, which is not a coincidence: JetBrains offers a personal price as a standard option and most vendors take the default of halving it.
147 plugins publish a price for a continuing subscription's third year. All 147 of them are cheaper than the first year, by a median of 40 percent, and none by less than 38 percent. A plugin at US$5.00 a month in year one is typically US$3.00 by year three. Anyone comparing plugin prices against a flat SaaS subscription is comparing the wrong number.

The median paid plugin has been downloaded about 1,200 times in its whole life. The top of the market is five orders of magnitude above that. Median rating across the 340 plugins that have one is 4.41 out of 5.
On 2026-09-08 we listed every plugin on the JetBrains Marketplace under a paid or freemium pricing model through the marketplace's own search API, which returned 432 and 202 respectively, and then read the pricing endpoint for each of the 634 with the country set to the United States. Prices are US dollars, list price, before tax.
Not every plugin publishes every term. 528 have a commercial annual price, 446 a commercial monthly price and 147 a third year price, and each figure above states the count it was computed from. Download counts and ratings come from the same search API.
